The six-issue limited series that started it all, Apocalypse Suite, began with the release of the first issue on September 19, 2007.
The comic features illustrations by Gabriel Bá, cover art by James Jean, colors by Dave Stewart and letters by Nate Piekos.
It won the 2008 Eisner Award for Best Finite Series/Limited Series.

Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá are ready to release the second limited series.
The first issue of The Umbrella Academy: Dallas, “The Jungle,” is set to be released on November 26, 2008.
Gabriel Bá is now doing the covers solo with the occassional guest variable cover. The first of these is by Jim Lee.

I was given DALLAS by my WONDERFUL boyfriend today… I have read the 6 comics, and WOW. As a HUGELY DEDICATED MCR FAN, I was planning on reading them out of loyalty to Gerard… But I am genuinely hooked now. Is it like, a special hypnotism or something? Gerard is a HYPNOTIST. It is an awesome story!! Next stop – ordering myself a nice copy of The Apocalypse Suite…
