AusGerCo (Paper Action Figure Man) made these awesome Umbrella Academy paper action figures:
Some of these are for sale, but if you’d like you can also order the plastic action figures. This brings a whole new meaning to the age-old question: paper or plastic? Enjoy.

We ran (not walked) to the comic book store this morning to buy the The Umbrella Academy in: The Jungle (Issue One of Six of Series Two: Dallas). The highly anticipated first issue of the second series did not disappoint. It was a whole 32-pages of comics, no ads! It was a really great story and we highly recommend it. We’re now excited for issue two which comes out next month, on December 24.

Scott Allie, editor
Badass Umbrella Academy editor, Scott Allie, gives us the latest going-ons in the Umbrella Academy world.
First he reminds us that the first issue of the second series, Dallas #1, is 32 pages of advertisement-free Gabriel Ba comic book art. Wow!
According to Allie, Gerard Way has just finished the script for Dallas #4, Ba is almost done with issue 3 (Allie says it has some of the weirdest stuff he’s seen), and Ba has one cover left for this series.
He also recommends getting the Umbrella Academy toys. You can read the complete letter on the UA Zone.

According to the Los Angeles Times:
Put your monocle on: The singular weird brilliance of the “Umbrella Academy” is coming to Secret Headquarters tonight.
if you live in Southern California, then you have pretty much no choice but to make your way to the great L.A. comics shop and gallery tonight in Los Angeles, where “Academy” author and My Chemical Romance lead singer Gerard Way will be hosting a party to celebrate the Nov. 26 release next week of “The Umbrella Academy: Dallas,” the follow-up to the six-issue “Apocalypse Suite” series that introduced the critically acclaimed series. – LA Times Blog

Gerard Way, NME Magazine
Sir Gerard Way of New Jersey revealed another Black Parade/Umbrella Academy connection. Well, sort of.
In this month’s issue of NME Magazine, The Way Man explains what he’s currently working on. Nothing new to report: new My Chemical Romance album, Umbrella Academy movie, and Dallas. However, he does give us a little something new. The Gee-man is quoted saying,
“Elements of the original Umbrella Academy pitch ended up being part of ‘The Black Parade’ in weird ways that people would never know.”
Weird ways people would never know? Oh my! Gerard Way is a very talented writer, artist and musician and he has often said that his works often influence each other. I guess we’ll be seeing him and the Chem crew sporting Umbrella Academy T-shirts and umbrellas on their next tour. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below:
