haha well I think it makes sense. “When Evil rains you need The Umbrella Academy” hehe… no? sounds a little pulp action and film noir, don’t you think? xD

And well maybe yes, The Seance may have some sort of crush in The Rumor, but that didn’t stop him for having a baby in Vietnam hahaxD

(note: do you think that baby could be of some importance in the story? like the origins of all the superhuman babies and stuff? maybe Klaus is his own father or something?

note 2: do you think Gerard and Gabriel could make a story arc involving another group of superhuman people that were born like the Umbrella brats? sounds promising, like a Spidey-Venom thing )

hey hey, hello i´m a spanish student and I think “ut malum pluvia” means something like, “damn, it´s rainning” or that´s what i read in my diccionary, it´s a little difficult to translate

hey i like the phrase “when evil rains”, if that’s what it means. if not i think it’s open for interpretation as long as you like the way it sounds. to me that is perfect. i love this comic. i really love kraken especially– i love his character so much that i have started a tattoo on my arm of him.

When I first saw this, I was totally confused. ‘Malumn’ made sense, but I was at a loss for the rest of it. I think I asked my Latin teacher about this already, as well as about the 30STM logo ‘Provehito in altum’, and she said she did not recognize the verb, provehito. Hmmm. Seems like Latin translations don’t always match up, eh?

To quote my latin teacher:

“I double-checked a dictionary and I don’t think “ut malum pluvia” means anything. “Pluit” would be “it rains,” so to say something like “when evil rains” would be something like, “cum malum pluit.” Not sure what the Umbrella Academy is, but it sounds like someone just looked up separate words with no knowledge of Latin grammar or morphology. Just a guess.”
